Native American Community Connection Resource (NACCR)

Native American Community Connection Resource (NACCR) is an internal fiscally sponsored project of Technical Assistance Partnership of Arizona (TAPAZ), a 501(c)(3) public charity. Technical Assistance Partnership of Arizona (TAPAZ) was founded in 2011 and was created to provide fiscal management. Contributions made to support the purposes of this project will be made payable to Technical Assistance Partnership of Arizona, Native Mind and are deductible as charitable contributions to this project.

The Native American Community Connection Resource (NACCR) Project is an initial core initiative under Native Mind. NACCR represents Native Mind’s systems-change strategy—serving as a single point of connection that helps individuals and families successfully navigate services while strengthening coordination across tribal, state, federal, and nonprofit providers. Native Mind’s vision is to build scalable, community-centered models that honor tribal governance, protect tribal data sovereignty, and create sustainable pathways toward health, wellness, housing stability, and social equity for Native peoples.

Many Native American communities experience persistent service access gaps despite the presence of health, housing, behavioral health, and social service programs. These gaps are driven by flawed service delivery systems, including fragmented coordination, limited infrastructure, workforce shortages, transportation barriers, and lack of culturally responsive engagement.

Community members often disengage from services due to historical trauma, bureaucratic complexity, and distrust of systems that fail to reflect Native values. As a result, critical needs go unmet, leading to preventable health crises, housing instability, and poor social outcomes. NACCR was created to repair access pathways, restore trust, and ensure Native community members can successfully navigate and receive the services intended for them.
